The Hamburg Public Library applied for and was awarded a $750,000 Keystone Library Grant in support of this expansion project from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Pennsylvania Department of Education with funds provided by the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund.
This major grant will go a long way toward moving this project forward but we still have some gaps to close in order to make this project a reality.
How can you help?
Donate
Support our community’s growth and knowledge by donating to fund the construction of the new library addition!
Checks are always welcome and can be made payable to the Hamburg Public Library (please note “Building Fund” in the memo line) and mailed to the library at 35 North Third St, Hamburg, PA 19526.
Make a pledge
Please consider making a pledge that may be fulfilled in up to four years to the Hamburg Public Library Capital Campaign. Giving over this time period allows you to make a greater contribution that you might be able to do with a one-time gift. Gifts of any amount are important to the success of the campaign. Thank you!
Naming Opportunities
A naming opportunity is a unique chance to help write the next chapter in the history of your community library. To leave a lasting legacy on our library, we are offering naming opportunities. Your pledge to support our mission will empower and embrace the community in a sustainable and transformative way. In addition to the naming opportunities list, the library is always available to work with individual donors to create additional opportunities for meaningful recognition.
To reserve a naming opportunity, please contact Chelsea Williams at director@hamburgpubliclibrary.org or 610-562-2843.
Matching Gifts
Matching gifts can double the impact of your gift through a corporate matching gift program.
Please check with your employer.

“A library outranks any other one thing a community can do to benefit its people. It is a never failing spring in the desert.”
